For a stylish seaside escape, Hotel Portixol in Palma’s El Molinar harbor offers an elegant, quietly iconic boutique experience by the Mediterranean. Originally built in the 1950s and transformed by its Swedish owners Mikael and Johanna Landström in 1999, the hotel perfectly captures the blend of Scandinavian simplicity and Mediterranean warmth that defines their work — they’re also the visionaries behind Hotel Espléndido in Port de Sóller and the Palma Sport & Tennis Club in Santa Catalina.

It feels like stepping aboard a beautifully designed yacht, anchored permanently to the rhythm of the harbor, and is one of the best boutique hotels in Palma.
