There are beach restaurants you visit… and then there are the ones you feel. For us, Il Chiringo in Palmanova is absolutely the second kind. We love coming here, take our shoes of and put them in the sand. When we leave Ocho in Palma, this is one of our favorite spots.

The first time we came here, we slipped off our sandals, sank the toes into the warm sand, and instantly understood why everyone talks about this place. With the Mediterranean glittering just a few meters away and the sound of glasses clinking under the shade, Il Chiringo has that rare ability to slow life down in the best possible way.

It’s not just a restaurant, it’s a little pocket of summer you carry with you long after you leave.

What we love most is how everyone feels welcome here. At lunch, you’ll see sun-kissed beachgoers drift in straight from the water. By evening, the candlelight softens the whole terrace and couples settle in for seafood, wine, and golden-hour magic. Locals pop in for tapas, rosé, or just to watch the day fade.

The energy shifts with the sun, but the warmth stays the same.

MEDITERRANEAN FLAVORS MADE FOR THE BEACH

The food at Il Chiringo tastes exactly like a beach day should — fresh, sunny, colorful.

A few dishes I still think about:

• Grilled calamari with lemon and sea salt

• Creamy burrata with seasonal tomatoes

• Seafood paella perfect for sharing

• Pulpo (fantastic if you’re a fan!)

• Their hamburgers — surprisingly one of the best around

And the cocktails… let’s just say they pair very well with waves and late afternoons.

Whether it’s a light beach lunch or a long dinner under the stars, everything somehow tastes better with the sea right there beside you.

Every time we’ve been here, the same thing happens: lunch slowly becomes afternoon, and afternoon drifts toward sunset almost without noticing. Il Chiringo has that rare magic where the atmosphere is just as memorable as the food.

It’s no surprise it’s loved by both locals and visitors — it truly captures the spirit of Palmanova’s coastline.

WE RECOMMEND

Start with the grilled calamari or burrata, then share the seafood paella or go all in on their fantastic pulpo. If you’re in the mood for comfort, the hamburger is surprisingly amazing. And whatever you choose, pair it with a cocktail and sit as close to the water as possible. That’s where Il Chiringo truly shines.
