DISCOVER ES BALUARD - PALMAS CONTEMPORARY ART GEM

Nestled within the historic walls of Palma, Es Baluard Museu d’Art Modern i Contemporani de Palma stands as a testament to the island's rich artistic heritage and vibrant contemporary scene. Since its inauguration in 2004, this museum has become a cornerstone of Mallorca's cultural landscape, seamlessly blending modern art with historical architecture.

A FUSION OF HISTORY AND MODERNITY

Es Baluard is uniquely situated within the Puig de Sant Pere district, just next to Santa Catalina, incorporating parts of the city's original 16th-century defensive walls. The museum's design harmoniously integrates these ancient structures with contemporary architectural elements, offering visitors a journey through both time and artistic.

Housing over 800 works spanning the late 19th century to the present day, Es Baluard's collection showcases a rich tapestry of artistic expressions. Notable artists featured include Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Antoni Tàpies, and Robert Capa.
