LA PAJARITA - PALMA´S SWEET TRADITION SINCE 1872

Nestled in the heart of Palma’s historic centre, La Pajarita is a cherished institution that has been delighting locals and visitors alike for over 150 years. Founded in 1872 as a chocolate shop known as Es Cavallet de Paper, it was the first in Palma to offer exotic goods like coffee, bananas, and Moët Chandon. Luxuries that even attracted Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Austria.

A CHOCOLATE LOVER´S DREAM

Today, La Pajarita Bombonería continues its legacy with over 60 artisanal chocolate varieties, including handmade bonbons, marzipan, nougat, and seasonal treats like panellets and Easter cakes. The shop’s red-and-white striped canopy and vintage interior, featuring lacquered wooden shelves and glass chandeliers, create a nostalgic atmosphere that transports you back in time.

MORE THAN JUST SWEETS

Next door, La Pajarita Charcutería offers a gourmet selection of Iberian hams, cheeses, wines, and other delicacies. Founded in 1872 and still family-run, it’s a go-to spot for high-quality provisions and catering services .

A YEAR ROUND TREAT

Whether you're strolling through Palma's Old Town or seeking a special gift, La Pajarita is a must-visit. Its festive window displays and seasonal specialties make it a delightful stop any time of year.
